From these three examples, we see that it is necessary to build an incentive scheme to distributed storm water management to maintain sustained public participation.
Also these systems need not be small scale facilities deployed at household levels, but also can be large entities serving whole communities, managed and operated by the community. In my last example, I will introduce a remarkable implementation from ancient irrigation systems of Sri Lanka.
